We have an article series on our blog that goes into great detail about the various cannabinoids, too much information for this page.
Bulk Delta 8 Distillate. On Sale?
Always! The prices are on our favorite cannabinoids. fluctuates and we do our best to keep prices updated. Unfortunately, as we often see, many of the vendors are trying to win by dropping prices as low as possible. It is critical to keep in mind that if you see a product dramatically cheaper than other sources, there may be a reason, not a good one.
Bulk Delta 8. Dangerous?
The short answer is no. Delta 8 is not dangerous, but you need to look at it like you would a food item. It is important that you know all the ingredients you are planning on putting it in your body after all. There is no such thing as 100% pure Delta 8. Distillate by its own nature is never 100%, there will always be a certain amount of other cannabinoids that came through during distillation. If you are buying distillate from a dubious source, you could also get some unwanted chemicals that were not properly remediated.
Bulk Delta 8. Legal THC?
As of right now, the federal laws that apply to products that come from Hemp is that it cannot have over .3% Delta 9. Most distillate contains a trace amount of Delta 9, sometimes. Analytical testing labs do not have a standard protocol for testing, so the same distillate may have very different results if we send it to multiple labs. Too much Delta 9 is not harmful, but it is illegal, so its critical that you trust your source and have access to a recent test.
Bulk Delta 8 : Manufacturing.
Not a very complicated process, but it is not something that a hobbyist should attempt. The chemicals and solvents used in manufacturing Delta 8 are extremely dangerous, it is imperative that the chemist is highly skilled at remediating (removing) anything that is left over from the manufacturing. Although we have a series on Delta 8 manufacturing and chemistry, we want to also say this here: Color IS NOT an indicator of purity or quality. We have seen D8 distillate in every color of the rainbow. Most look very unappealing, but the biggest problems have actually come from distillate that is water clear.
Bulk Delta 8. Remediate?
Color remediation is a big business. Consumers have been told for decades that clear is clean, and clean is good. What most people don’t know is that a lack of color is not from a clean manufacturing process, the color is removed. Remediating color from distillate requires the use of bleaching clay, carbon, etc. The chemicals used to remove the color are extremely toxic and must be totally removed from the final product. Our distillate is a pale yellow to honey gold. We deliberately do not offer water-clear because we feel that the risk of having any residual solvents left over is not worth the risk.
